Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the headlamp assembly. For additional information, refer to HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY .
  2. Remove the fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FENDER SPLASH SHIELD  .

    4WD Vehicles 

  3. Remove the fender moulding. For additional information, refer to FENDER MOULDING .
  4. Remove the rocker panel moulding. For additional information, refer to ROCKER PANEL MOULDING .

    Vehicles With Side Lamps

  5. Remove the side lamp.
    1. Push the side lamp rearward.
    2. Pull outward from the front of the side lamp and remove.
    3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    RH Side

  6. Remove the antenna mast.

  7. Remove the antenna base fender grommet.

  8. Remove the lower fender bolts.

    NOTE:
    • The front door must be open to gain access to the fender bolt.
  9. Remove the fender bolt.

  10. Remove the fender to front fender radiator support brace bolt.

    NOTE:
    • On the RH side, the antenna base is mounted to the body, inside the fender opening. The RH fender must be lifted over the base during removal.
  11. Remove the bolts and the front fender.
  12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
