Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Solenoid Valve (Millenia 2.3L)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2002 Mazda Protege5, 2002 Mazda Protege, 2002 Mazda Millenia, 2002 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and 2002 Mazda MPV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor solenoid valve is mounted on top of right shock tower. Apply air pressure to port "B" of MAP sensor solenoid valve. See Fig 1 . Air should flow through ports "B" and "C" only. Using fused jumper wires, apply battery voltage to MAP sensor solenoid valve terminals. Apply air pressure to port "A" of MAP sensor solenoid valve. Air should flow through ports "A" and "B" only. If air flow is not as specified, replace MAP sensor solenoid valve.
