Air By-Pass Valve Solenoid Valve (Vent)

  1. Remove Air By-Pass Valve (ABV) solenoid valve. See Figure . Apply air pressure to each port of ABV solenoid valve. See Fig 1 . Air should flow through all other ports. If ABV solenoid valve operates as specified, go to next step. If ABV solenoid valve does not operate as specified, replace ABV solenoid valve.
  2. Using fused jumper wires, apply battery voltage to ABV solenoid valve terminals. Apply air pressure to each port. Air should flow through ports "A" and "B" only. If ABV solenoid valve does not operate as specified, replace ABV solenoid valve.
