Air By-Pass Valve Solenoid Valve (Vacuum)

  1. Remove Air By-Pass Valve (ABV) solenoid valve. See Figure . Apply air pressure to port on ABV solenoid valve. See Fig 1 . Air should not flow through valve. If ABV solenoid valve operates as specified, go to next step. If ABV solenoid valve does not operate as specified, replace ABV solenoid valve.
  2. Using fused jumper wires, apply battery voltage to ABV solenoid valve terminals. Air should flow from port "B". If ABV solenoid valve does not operate as specified, replace ABV solenoid valve.
