On-Board System Readiness (OSR) Test Mode

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mazda 626. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

OSR test mode indicates OBD II system operating status by indicating status of each system monitor (complete or incomplete). There are 2 types of system monitors. The first type of system monitor monitors misfires, fuel system and comprehensive components. These are continuous monitoring-type functions and will be identified by a CONT message on the scan tool. The second type of system monitor monitors, catalyst, EGR system, EVAP system and oxygen sensor. These are monitored during each drive cycle only. When the drive cycle sensor monitor is complete, a YES message will display.
