OBD-II Drive Mode Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mazda 626. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
OBD-II drive mode is a pattern of driving in which the PCM will execute the following OBD-II diagnostic monitors:
- EGR system.
- Oxygen sensor and oxygen sensor heater.
- Catalytic converter.
- Fuel, misfire and evaporative emission control system.
NOTE:
Rough road conditions may prevent certain steady state conditions and steady accelerations from validating transmission and load related monitors.
