Diagnosis & Repair Procedure

  1. Ensure FREEZE FRAME DATA has been recorded. Check for related service bulletins. Repair as necessary and go to next step.
  2. Check for DTCs during KOER self-test. If DTC P0103 is present, repair that problem first. See DTC P0103: MASS AIRFLOW (MAF) SENSOR CIRCUIT, HIGH INPUT  . If DTC P0103 is not present, go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool, check for DTCs. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DTC P0102 is present, repair that problem first. See DTC P0102: MASS AIRFLOW (MAF) SENSOR CIRCUIT, LOW INPUT  . If DTC P1100 is present, replace PCM. If DTC P0102 is not present, problem is intermittent.
