Piston And Connecting Rod Disassembly Note

Inspect the connecting rod side clearance. (Refer to ENGINE INSPECTION/REPAIR , CONNECTING ROD SIDE CLEARANCE INSPECTION .)
Use the handle of a hammer to remove the piston and connecting rod through the top of the cylinder block.

Inspect the piston and connecting rod. (Refer to ENGINE INSPECTION/REPAIR , PISTON AND CONNECTING ROD INSPECTION .)
Remove the piston rings by using a piston ring expander.

Remove the piston pin by using the SST .
