EGR Monitor Repair Verification Drive Mode

NOTE: Intake Air Temperature (IAT) PID must be more than 50°F (10°C) to start EGR monitor. After monitoring conditions are set, system testing requires 30 seconds or more to complete.
  1. Connect scan tool. Warm engine until ECT PID is at least 165°F (74°C). Turn off all accessories. Drive vehicle at a constant speed of 48-127 MPH for 2 minutes or more. Stop vehicle and allow to idle for 20 seconds or more.
  2. Using scan tool, check drive mode completion status. If drive mode is not completed, turn ignition off. Repeat procedure again. If drive mode is completed, go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool, check values. If values are within specification, verify no DTCs are present. Repair is complete. If values are not within specification, repair is not complete.
