Noise And Vibration

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mazda 626. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Drive the vehicle in third gear (O/D OFF switch ON) and listen closely for any noise or vibration. The torque converter, drive shaft, and differential can be sources of noise and vibration if they are not functioning properly. Inspect these when searching for sources of noise and vibration.
