Noise And Vibration

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mazda 626. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Drive the vehicle in second gear and listen closely for any out-of-the-ordinary noise or vibration. The torque converter, drive shaft, and differential can be sources of abnormal noise and vibration if they are not functioning properly; Inspect them when searching for sources of noise and vibration.
