Oil Cooler Installation Note

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mazda 626. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Automatic transaxle oil cooler flushing must be performed whenever a transaxle is removed for service to remove existing fluid which may be contaminated and to prevent contamination of new fluid. The flushing must be performed after installing the overhauled transaxle.
  2. Follow the manufacture's instructions for flushing the automatic transaxle oil cooler.
  3. Align the marks, and slide the oil hose onto the oil pipe until it is full seated as shown.
