Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the resonance chamber, fresh-air duct, and air cleaner component.
  3. Remove the fuel filter mounting nuts.
  4. Disconnect the input/turbine speed sensor connector.
  5. Measure resistance between the terminals of the input/turbine speed sensor.
    • If not correct, replace the input/turbine speed sensor.

      Resistance (ATF Temperature: -40-160 °C {-40-320 °F}) 253-604 ohms

  6. Connect the input/turbine speed sensor connector.
  7. Install the fuel filter mounting nuts.
  8. Install the air cleaner component, fresh-air duct, and resonance chamber.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
