Transaxle Range Switch Removal/Installation

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the battery component.
- Remove the fresh-air duct, air cleaner component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FS] .)
- Disconnect the transaxle range switch connector.
- Remove the transaxle range switch.
- Shift the transaxle into N position.
- Install the transaxle range switch on the manual lever shaft.
- Hand tighten the two mounting bolts.
- Use the SST to align the switch on the shaft and case.
- Tighten the two mounting bolts.
Tightening Torque
11-13 N.m {112-133 kgf.cm, 97-115 in.lbf}
- Connect the transaxle range switch connector.
- Install the fresh-air duct, air cleaner component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FS] .)
- Install the battery component.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
