Oil Seals Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the drive shaft and joint shaft. See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove and discard the differential seals using the SSTs  or equivalent.

  3. Apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly on the outside and the lip of the new differential seals.
  4. Use the SST  to tap in new differential seals.

  5. Install the drive shaft and joint shaft. See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
