Electrical Pressure Control (EPC) Solenoid

CAUTION:
  • Do not attempt to keep the EPC switch depressed (minimum line pressure) and stall the transaxle (holding the vehicle with the brake while depressing the throttle with the transaxle in gear). Transaxle will be damaged.
  1. Observe the line pressure. Record the value. Line pressure should raise to maximum. If not, see TROUBLE SHOOTING or DTC troubleshooting concerning the EPC solenoid. See DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .
  2. Depress the EPC switch. Line pressure should drop to a minimum value. Record the value. If not, see TROUBLE SHOOTING or DTC troubleshooting. See DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .
