Drive Shaft Removal Note

- Remove the clip.
- Remove the ABS wheel speed sensor harness mounting nuts.
- Separate the driver side drive shaft from the joint shaft using a brass bar and a hammer.
CAUTION:
- The sharp edges of the drive shaft snap ring can slice or puncture the oil seal. Be careful when removing the drive shaft from the transaxle.
NOTE:- Do not pry on the seal surface.
- Separate the passenger side drive shaft from the transaxle by prying with a bar inserted between the outer ring and the transaxle, as shown in the figure.
- Suspend the drive shaft with a rope.
