Camshaft (RH) Removal Note

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Mazda MPV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
  • Remove the camshaft bearing thrust caps Nos. 1R and 5R first. Do not loosen any of the other bolts until the thrust caps are removed, or damage to the thrust caps may occur.
NOTE:
  • The cylinder head and the camshaft bearing cap are numbered to make sure they are reassembled in their original position. When removed, keep bearing caps with the cylinder head they were removed from. Do not mix the caps.
