Windshield Wiper Motor Inspection

  1. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor connector.
  2. Connect battery positive voltage to terminal D or C and ground to terminal F, and inspect the operation of the windshield wiper motor as indicated.

  3. Disconnect battery positive voltage from terminal D of the motor while the wipers are operating.
  4. Verify that the wipers do not stop in the park position.
  5. Short between the motor terminals B and D and connect battery positive voltage to the motor terminal A.
  6. Verify that the wipers operate at low speed again, then stop in the park position.
    • If not as specified, replace the windshield wiper motor.
