Oil Filter Replacement

  1. Remove the oil filter using the filter wrench.

  2. Use a clean rag to wipe off the mounting surface on the oil cooler.
  3. Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring of new oil filter.
  4. Install the oil filter until the O-ring contacts the sealing surface of the oil cooler.
  5. CAUTION:
    • In case you spill engine oil on the protector under the filter, wipe it off cleanly. If you fail to wipe the spilled oil, it will produce a white fume because of the heat.
  6. Tighten the filter 3/4 turns using the filter wrench.
  7. Start the engine and inspect for oil leakage.
  8. Inspect the oil level.
