Non-OBD II Regulation Vehicle

Remove the charcoal canister. (See EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CONTROL SYSTEM COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Plug the atmosphere side pot and purge solenoid valve side pot of the charcoal canister.
Blow air into the charcoal canister from the fuel tank side port and verify that there is no air leakage from the case.
- If not as specified, replace the charcoal canister.
