Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove oil pan drain plug, and drain engine oil into a suitable container. Drain engine coolant. Remove oil filter. Remove water hose and oil cooler.
  2. Install locating pin on oil cooler into cast slot in cylinder block. Rotate clockwise until cooler stops. Install water hose. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
