B-Pillar Lower Trim Removal/Installation

WARNING: Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
NOTE:
  • The side air bag sensor is located in the B-pillar.
  1. Remove the front scuff plate.
  2. Remove the rear scuff plate.
  3. Remove the power sliding door rear switch. (with power sliding door system)
  4. Turn the seaming welt over.
  5. Remove the fastener.
  6. Disengage clips A using a fastener remover, and remove the B-pillar lower trim.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
