Removal Note

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Mazda B4000, 2003 Mazda B4000, 2002 Mazda B4000, 2002 Mazda B3000, and 2001 Mazda B4000. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the front brake disc. For additional information, see appropriate DISC & DRUM article.
  2. Remove and discard the nut and washer assembly.

    CAUTION: Do not use a hammer to separate the outboard CV joint from the hub. Damage to the outboard CV threads and internal components may result.
  3. Using the special tool, separate the outboard CV joint from the hub.

  4. Remove the dust shield.

  5. Remove the bolt and detach the anti-lock sensor from the wheel hub.

    CAUTION: Do not overextend the CV joint and boots when removing the hub and bearing assembly.
  6. Remove the bolts (3) and the wheel hub.
