Boot Assembly Note

NOTE:
The wheel side and transaxle side boots are different.
- Fill the boot (wheel side) with the specified grease from a tube, not by hand. Use the specified grease supplied in the boot kit. The correct amount for the 2.3L is 3.18-3.88 oz. (0.094-0.115L), and for the 3.0L the correct amount is 3.71-4.41 oz. (0.110-0.130L).WARNING: Continuous exposure to grease may cause skin cancer. Do not touch grease.CAUTION: Apply it from the tube to prevent foreign matter from entering the boot.
- Install the boot with the splines of the shaft still wrapped in tape from disassembly.
- Remove the tape.
