Front Axle Wheel Hub & Steering Knuckle: Installation

Install in the reverse order of removal. After installation, inspect the front wheel alignment. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS in SPECIFICATIONS article under WHEEL ALIGNMENT in SUSPENSION.

Hub Bolt Installation Note - Install the new hub bolts using a press. See Fig 1 .

Dust Cover Installation Note - Mark the new dust cover in the same way as the removed one. See Fig 2 . Align the marks of the new dust cover and the knuckle. Install the new dust cover using the Dust Cover Installer (49-G033-107A) and Attachment (49-F027-009). See Fig 3 .

Wheel Bearing Installation Note - Install the new wheel bearing using the Handle (49-G030-797) upper Attachment (49-F027-004) and lower Attachment (49-F027-009). See Fig 4 .

Wheel Hub Component Installation Note - Install the wheel hub component using the Removal/Installation Adapter (49-G033-105) . See Fig 5 .

Lock Nut Installation Note - Install a new lock nut and stake it as shown in illustration. See Fig 6 .
