B2300, B3000, B4000 & Tribute 3.0L
- Disconnect negative battery cable. If necessary, remove snow/ice shield. Remove air intake tube between air cleaner and throttle body. Remove fuel filler cap to release fuel tank pressure. To release fuel line pressure, connect Fuel Pressure Gauge (49-UN01-010) to fuel pressure relief valve (Schrader valve) on fuel rail. Position suitable container to drain fuel into from pressure gauge. Open manual valve on fuel pressure gauge to slowly release pressure. Some fuel may drain into container.
- As an alternate method, disconnect Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) switch connector behind right side of instrument panel, below glove box. Start engine and operate until it stalls.
