Removal and Installation

CAUTION:
  • Prior to removal of the module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the WDS or equivalent tester. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
CAUTION:
  • Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
  1. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL  .

  2. Loosen the tilt lever (if equipped) and lower steering column.

  3. Remove the screws.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the instrument cluster.
    CAUTION:
    • Once the new module is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the Diagnostic tool into the new instrument cluster. For additional information; refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
