Exhaust Sulphur (Rotten Egg) Smell
NOTE:
Slight sulphur smell may be normal. Catalyst with between 5000 and 10,000 miles or less (new vehicles or recently replaced catalyst) are likely to have sulphur smell due to highly active state of new catalyst.
- Check for charcoal canister malfunction (fuel saturated).
- Check for disconnected harness connectors.
- Check for disconnected or incorrect connection of vacuum lines.
- Check for incorrect fuel pressure.
- Check for fuel pressure regulator malfunction.
- Check for fuel pulsation damper malfunction.
- Check for fuel pump malfunction.
- Check for fuel tank vent malfunction.
