One-Way Clutch 2 and Carrier Hub Assembly
ONE-WAY CLUTCH 2 AND CARRIER HUB ASSEMBLYDisassembly / Inspection / Assembly
1. Disassemble in the order shown in the figure.
2. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly, referring to Assembly procedure.
One-Way Clutch 2 and Carrier Hub Assembly:
Inspection
One-way clutch 2
Check one-way clutch 2 operation.
1) Assemble the inner race to one-way clutch 2.
2) Verify that when the inner race is held, one-way clutch 2 turns only clockwise and smoothly.
Carrier hub assembly
Check for the following and repair or replace as necessary.
1) Damaged or worn gear and operation.
Note: Make several measurements and calculate the average value.
2) Measure the clearance between pinion washers and planetary carrier.
Clearance:
0.2 - 0.7 mm (0.008 - 0.028 in)
3) If not within specification, replace the carrier hub assembly.
Assembly procedure
1. Assemble the carrier hub assembly to the inner race.
Caution: Do not deform the snap ring.
2. Install the snap ring.
Note: Install the tangs of the bearing race into the alignment holes.
3. Apply petroleum jelly to the bearing race and secure it on one-way clutch 2 and carrier hub assembly.
Bearing race outer diameter
Sun gear drum side: 84.0 mm (3.307 in)
