OSC Preliminary Procedures

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 13 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mazda B4000, 2003 Mazda B3000, 2003 Mazda B2300, 2002 Mazda B4000, and 2002 Mazda B3000. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Perform the following procedures in order before entering into OSC modes:

Select vehicle and engine selection menu.
Select appropriate vehicle and engine.
Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
Select POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE.
Select DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODE.
Select KOEO ON-DEMAND SELF TEST and KOER ON-DEMAND SELF TESTS.
Perform test and record DTCs.
Repair all non-transmission related DTCs.
Repair all VSS and TR sensor DTCs.
Ensure VSS and TR sensors are functional.
Select ACTIVE COMMAND MODES.
Select OUTPUT STATE CONTROL.
Select TRANS-BENCH MODE or TRANS-DRIVE MODE.
