MPV & Protege

  1. Verify that distance from carpet to center of upper surface of pedal is 8.27" (210 mm). If not as specified, disconnect brake switch connector. Loosen locknut "B", and turn switch "A" until it does not contact pedal. Figure .
  2. Loosen locknut "D", and turn rod "C" to adjust height. Tighten bolt with locknut "B" so that clearance between stoplight switch bolt "A" and pedal stopper is .004-.039" (.1-1.0 mm). Tighten bolt to 121-156 INCH Lbs. (13.7-17.6 N.m). Connect stoplight switch connector. Inspect stoplight operation.
