Test 6: Insufficient Air (Or No Air) Flows From Rear Vents
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Place front A/C-heater control to REAR position. Place blower motor switch to maximum speed position. Place mode switch in vent position. If cool air blows from rear vent outlets, go to step 4 . If cool air does not blow from rear vent outlets, go to next step.
- Check for foreign material clogging rear vents. Remove foreign material clogging vent. After repair, go to step 7 . If no problem is found, go to next step.
- Verify that rear roof ducts No. 1 and No. 2 are properly installed. Reinstall rear cooler ducts if necessary. If rear cooler ducts are properly installed, check ducts for clogging, deformation or leakage. Repair or replace as necessary. After repair, go to step 7 .
- Ensure front A/C-heater control is in REAR position and rear blower motor switch is in maximum speed position. Place mode switch in heat position. If warm air blows from rear vent outlets, operation is okay. Recheck A/C-heater system malfunction symptoms. If warm air does not blow from rear vent outlets, go to next step.
- Check for foreign material clogging rear vents. Remove foreign material clogging vent. After repair, go to step 7 . If no problem is found, go to next step.
- Verify that rear heater ducts No. 4 and No. 5 are properly installed. Reinstall rear heat ducts if necessary. If rear heater ducts are properly installed, check rear heater ducts for clogging, deformation or leakage. Repair or replace as necessary. After repair, go to step 7 .
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Turn front control panel mode control to each position to verify repair. If air blows out in all front mode control positions, repair is complete. If air does not blow out in all front mode control positions, return to step 1 .
