Preliminary Inspection

  1. Verify customer's complaint by operating system in question. Visually inspect components. Check, repair, or replace the following components as necessary:
    • Damaged engine oil pump and oil filter.
    • Damaged coolant thermostat.
    • Door adjustment.
    • Low engine coolant or engine oil.
    • Stuck coolant temperature gauge needle.
    • Stuck oil pressure gauge needle.
    • Tripped inertia switch.
    • Blown fuse(s).
    • Damaged instrument cluster or bulbs.
    • Damaged wiring harness, or loose or corroded connections.
  2. Verify charging system, cooling system, fuel system, safety belt warning chime, turn signals, headlights, and anti-theft control system are working properly. Inspect wiring harness for bad connections or damage.
