Test T: Check Gauges Indicator Inoperative
- Start engine and allow it to idle. If gauges are functioning properly, go to next step. If gauges are not functioning properly, go to appropriate gauge test. See SYMPTOM CHART table under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS.
- Check for continuity between check gauges indicator bulb terminals of instrument cluster printed circuit. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace bulb.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connectors. Measure resistance between check gauge indicator bulb and terminal No. 8 at instrument cluster printed circuit connector C215 (component side). Measure resistance between check gauge indicator bulb and instrument cluster gauge amplifier. If both resistance readings are 5 ohms or less, replace instrument cluster gauge amplifier. If either resistance reading is greater than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster printed circuit.
