Lateral Link & Trailing Link: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Remove cap. See Figure and Figure. Remove bolt, washer and nut connecting front lateral link and knuckle. Remove and mark nut, cam plate and adjusting cam bolt connecting rear lateral link and crossmember for instalation purposes.See Figure. Remove rear lateral link.
- Remove crossmember bolt. Remove bolt and nut connecting crossmember and front lateral link. Remove brake cable bracket. Remove trailing link. Inspect lateral links and trailing links for damage, cracks and deformation. Check for damaged or worn bushings.
NOTE:
Replace complete lateral link assembly if bushings are worn or damaged.
