Removal & Installation (1997 MX-5 Miata, 626 & MX-6)

1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove fresh air duct. See Fig 2 . Disconnect cooling fan motor connector. Remove cooling fan assembly. Remove cooling fan blade and cooling fan motor.
2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Start engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. Ensure cooling fan motor operates smoothly.
