Removal & Installation (MX-6)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disable air bag system (if equipped). See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Remove air bag module and steering wheel. Remove steering column covers. SeeFigure .
  2. Remove combination switch and clockspring. Remove switch panel. Remove instrument cluster mounting screws. Disconnect instrument cluster electrical connectors. Remove instrument cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure.
