Direct Clutch: Disassembly

On Miata, RX7 and 929, remove snap ring, side plate, one-way clutch assembly and retaining plate. See Fig 1 . Compress spring retainer and remove snap ring. Remove spring retainer and springs. Mount direct clutch drum on drum support. Apply air pressure to remove piston. See Figure .
