Trailing Arm & Lateral Links: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Remove stabilizer bar from front or rear lateral link. Remove bolts and nuts connecting front and rear lateral links to crossmember. Remove bolts and nuts connecting front and rear lateral links to knuckle and spindle assembly. Remove front and rear lateral links.
- Remove bolt attaching trailing arm to knuckle and spindle assembly. Remove trailing arm-to-body bolt. Remove trailing arm. Inspect lateral links and trailing arm for damage, cracks and deformation. Check for damaged or worn bushings.
NOTE:
Replace complete lateral link assembly if bushings are worn or damaged.
