AIR BAG Warning Light Flashes 7 Times
- Cancel radio anti-theft function. See CANCELING & ACTIVATING RADIO ANTI-THEFT under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Access passenger air bag module connectors. See PASSENGER AIR BAG MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check condition of passenger air bag module connector. If passenger air bag module connector is okay, go to next step. If passenger air bag module connector is not okay, repair as necessary. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
- Disconnect passenger air bag module connectors. Using a DVOM, check for continuity between diagnostic module connector terminal 1E and passenger air bag module connector (harness side) Red/Blue wire. See Figure . If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, replace wiring harness. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
- Check for continuity between diagnostic module connector terminal 1F and passenger air bag module connector (harness side) Light/Green/Red wire. See Figure . If continuity is present, replace passenger air bag module. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . If during TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK , AIR BAG warning light flashes 7 times, replace diagnostic module. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK again. If continuity is not present, replace wiring harness. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
