AIR BAG Warning Light Flashes 10 Times

  1. Cancel radio anti-theft function. See CANCELING & ACTIVATING RADIO ANTI-THEFT  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. Disconnect all 3 D-sensor connectors. Using a DVOM, check resistance between D-sensor connector (sensor side) terminals "A" and "B" of each sensor. See Figure . If resistance is approximately 1.2 k-ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not approximately 1.2 k-ohms, replace faulty D-sensor. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
  3. Reconnect all 3 D-sensor connectors. With Short Circuit Connectors (49-H066-004) connected to diagnostic module connectors, using a DVOM, check resistance between diagnostic module connector terminals 1H and 1M. See Figure . If resistance is approximately 1.2 k-ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not approximately 1.2 k-ohms, replace wiring harness. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
  4. Check resistance between diagnostic module connector terminals 1G and 1O. See Figure . If resistance is approximately 1.2 k-ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not approximately 1.2 k-ohms, replace wiring harness. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
  5. Check resistance between diagnostic module connector terminals 2H and 2F. See Figure . If resistance is approximately 1.2 k-ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not approximately 1.2 k-ohms, replace wiring harness. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
  6. Using a DVOM, check for continuity between diagnostic module terminal 2J and ground. If continuity is present, replace wiring harness. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  . If continuity is not present, replace diagnostic module. Perform TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
