ABS-3 DTCs 22, 24, 26 & 28 (Hydraulic Unit, Solenoid Valve & Wiring Harness)

  1. Check ABS control unit connector for poor connection. If connection is okay, check wiring harness between hydraulic unit and ABS control unit for open or short to ground. Repair as necessary. If wiring harness is okay, go to next step.
  2. Check hydraulic unit and solenoid valve. See appropriate procedure under COMPONENT TESTING. If hydraulic unit and solenoid valve are okay, check ABS warning light operation. If ABS warning light illuminates constantly after turning ignition switch to ON position, replace ABS control unit.
  3. If ABS warning light does not illuminate after turning ignition switch to ON position, a temporary poor contact in wiring may have occurred and ABS system is now functioning properly.
