ABS-1 DTCs 11, 12, 13 & 14 (Wheel Speed Sensor, Wiring Harness, Sensor Rotor & Hydraulic Pressure)

  1. Check ABS control unit connectors for poor connection. If connectors are okay, check wiring harness for open or short to ground between ABS control unit and wheel speed sensor. Repair as necessary. If open or short in wiring harness does not exist, go to next step.
  2. Check wheel speed sensor, sensor rotor, stoplight switch and hydraulic unit. See appropriate procedure under COMPONENT TESTING.
  3. If component(s) in step 2 are okay or have been repaired, erase all DTCs. See ERASING DTC.
  4. Recheck for DTCs by driving vehicle from a stop to faster than 6 MPH. If DTCs 11-14 are displayed, replace ABS control unit. If DTCs 11-14 are not displayed, a temporary poor contact in wiring may have occurred and ABS is now functioning properly.
