Hydraulic Unit (Motor Test)
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1994 Mazda MX-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect hydraulic unit 2-pin connector. Measure resistance between hydraulic unit connector terminals (Red/Yellow wire and Black wire). Resistance should not be greater than one ohm.
- If resistance is not as specified, replace hydraulic unit. If resistance is as specified, verify motor operates when applying 12 volts to hydraulic unit 2-pin connector terminals (Red/Yellow wire and Black wire). Replace hydraulic unit if motor does not operate.
