Inspection (B2200 & B2600i)
- Check disc for loose rivets, worn springs or oil contamination. Minimum lining height above rivet heads is .012" (.30 mm). Inspect flywheel and pressure plate for burns, scoring or grooves.
- Check flywheel and pressure plate runout. Resurface or replace flywheel and pressure plate if beyond specification. See the CLUTCH COMPONENT RUNOUT (MAXIMUM - B2000 & B2600i) . If flywheel ring gear is replaced, ensure chamfer on flywheel teeth faces engine.
- Measure clutch disc runout using a dial indicator. Replace the disc if measurement is not within specification. Refer to the CLUTCH COMPONENT RUNOUT (MAXIMUM - B2000 & B2600i) . Check disc hub and input shaft splines for excessive wear. Hub must slide smoothly on input shaft splines.
- Check pilot bushing for wear. Apply inward pressure and turn pilot bearing side-to-side. If bearing sticks or has excessive resistance, replace bearing.
