Diagnosis - F4A-El, FU06, G4A-El, G4AX-El & G4A-Hl: Description: Notes

This 4-speed transaxle with lock-up (overdrive) is an Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission (EC-AT) which combines mechanical and electronic systems for control. Shift functions and lock-up timing are controlled by a control unit located under dash on driver's side of vehicle. By using a mode selector switch and selecting "E" (economy) or "P" (power), different shifting points and lock-up timing can be selected. The shift valve and lock-up are actuated by a solenoid valve functioning to maintain or drain hydraulic pressure.
