Valve Stem Oil Seals

On 323 SOHC, use Installer Set (49-L012-0A0) to install valve seals. See Fig 1. Adjust installer dimension "L" to seal depth of .587-.598" (14.9-15.2 mm). Slide seal onto valve guide, and position installer onto seal and guide. Tap installer with hammer until it contacts cylinder head. Lightly oil valve seal lip.

NOTE: Use only new exhaust valve guides to replace intake or exhaust valve guides.
