Electrical Signal Test

  1. Input and output signals are checked with EC-AT tester for proper operation of various switches and sensors. The control unit is also checked for output and various control signals.
  2. Select appropriate tester components. See EC-AT TESTER COMPONENT APPLICATION chart. Select proper switch settings. See EC-AT TESTER SWITCH SETTING chart. Connect EC-AT tester to EC-AT control unit and wiring harness by wiring harness adaptor. See Figure. Turn ignition on and verify indication of respective light or digital display in each condition, referring to LIGHT & DIGITAL DISPLAY INDICATION F4A-EL & G4AX-EL (1990) chart and LIGHT & DIGITAL DISPLAY INDICATION G4A-EL (1988-90) chart.
