KICKDOWN Switch: Testing
- Turn ignition on and measure voltage at terminal "V" and ground with accelerator pedal 7/8 to fully depressed for battery voltage. With accelerator at rest to 7/8 depressed, less than 1.5 volts should be present. See Fig 1.

- Disconnect kickdown switch connector and check for continuity with switch depressed. With switch released, no continuity should exist. If not correct, replace switch.
- Adjust kickdown switch by loosening switch lock nuts, depress accelerator pedal fully. Turn switch until threaded case touches stopper and turn switch out 1/2 turn. Tighten kickdown switch lock nuts. See Fig 1.
